Last week Reception went on a bear hunt at Nell Bank. We had a lovely day searching for bears, pond dipping and mini beast hunting. We are now looking at some non-fiction books about bears and we are going to make our own information books all about bears. We were wondering if you could help us? Do you know any interesting facts about bears that we could add to our books?

Most of the eggs have now hatched and we have 8 fluffy chicks! The children in Foundation Stage are really enjoying watching the chicks grow.

Year One have been to visit ‘The Deep’ in Hull as part of our science topic ‘I’m Alive!’  We had great fun looking at all the amazing fish and we had a chance to see some divers in the water too!  We couldn’t believe how many different kinds of fish there were. We also took part in a workshop where we could create our own scenes too. It was such an exciting day!

We will be looking at life-cycles next. Can you describe the life-cycle of a butterfly, frog  or plant so that we can share this with the Year One children?
