Science and ICT course activity 2 – Using digital still images in Science

There are many ways you can capture images and use them for observations and to promote speaking and listening within science. The following activities exemplified how these images can be used by teachers for lesson starters or by children to create a record of their observations during an investigation. Examples of hardware that can be used for capturing still images are:-

Digital still cameras

Easiscopes

Visualisers

iPod

There are many ways that teachers and students can present these images using free online software or software that will be already installed on your school network. Examples of software are (these are just a drop in the ocean):-
