Safer Internet Day 2012

Safer Internet Day 2012 is looming fast and many schools use this as a key component of a whole school E-safeguarding week to invigorate their whole school approaches to safeguarding and to celebrate the safe and responsible practices demonstrated at their school. It is also a busy time for the Curriculum ICT and Innovation Centre CEOP Ambassador accredited staff who deliver E-safeguarding sessions to pupils, staff and parents; if you are interested in utilising our team to support your SID2012 activities please contact us asap to avoid disappointment.
If you want to assess how effective your present E-safeguarding policies and pracices are then try the 360°Safe audit tool

This year’s SID2012 focus looks at the reach of the online world across all generations and cultures and encourages families to work together to stay safe online around the theme Connecting generations and educating each other, with the slogan: “Discover the digital world together… safely!”

At Keighley St Andrew’s, we are using the CEOP ThinkUKnow videos in assembly to highlight how to keep safe online. Each class is taking part in a variety of activities and Miss Foley the ICT coordinator is running competitions throughout the week. The children are going to use ICT to make guides for different audiences (including young children and older generations) about keeping safe online. We will be blogging about it too! http://bradfordschools.net/blog/ksa/
