Young Apprentice..?

Well, I’ve already been speaking to some of you about your thoughts as to who you feel might or should win the Junior Apprentice. I must say, after watching some of the tasks, I feel that many of the children at Marshfield would do just as good a job (if not better!). Anyway, what are your thoughts? Who would you like to win? Do you think this is a good opportunity for youngsters?

Children in Need?

As I was searching for information about Children in Need via the Internet, I came across an article created by a group of people who feel that this day is simply another excuse to swindle people of yet more money.
I was quite surprised as I read this article as they spoke of the many other charities that already do so much about raising money to help people across the world.
What are your thoughts on this?
Miss Bhambra. :-)

Marshfield Primary School website

Hi Everybody,
Mrs Penrose and I have done quite a bit of work to update our school website. Have you managed to take a look at it? Do you know how you access it? I thought children in Year 6 did but in fact lots of them didn’t.
Please take a look at the website and tell me what you think. You may have some suggestions on how it could be improved or used more.
Miss B.

How to blog safely …

A blog can be very exciting, it allows people from all over the world to read our work and make comments. We need to remember to follow a few simple rules to stay safe and to get the most out of our blog.

  • Children are to only use their first name when commenting.
  • Parents who leave comments are asked to use their first name only so as not to identify their child. Or post comments as “Harry’s Mum” or “Megan’s Grandfather”.
  • All posts will be checked by school staff before they are published to the blog.
  • All comments are moderated by school staff before they appear on the blog.
  • Always be respectful for other people’s work – be positive if you are going to comment.
  • No text talk – write in full sentences and read your comments back carefully before submitting.

These rules should help to make the blog a safe and exciting home for our work.
