Unfortunately, Ipadio does not seem to be working, so I have decided to type up this week’s Question of the Week instead. This week’s questions is as follows…
What have different year groups been growing in The Hive to prepare for our Miriam Lord in Bloom Day? How have you been looking after your different planting beds to make sure that things grow?

I am not sure because i have not gone to the hive yet .
We have been growing potatoes and we are looking after them by making sure they get enough water and sunlight.
In year 6 we are growing patatoes. We look after it by a different group goes down to the hive every day and water them.

Every week when it is Media Area Mrs Conway chooses two people in a group. We go to the hive check our plants, water them and leave them.

Hopefully we will soon have our plastic bottle greenhouse built in the Hive. This will be a great place to grow some fruits and vegetables that like to be kept warm. Can you think of any that might enjoy being kept in a greenhouse?
Mrs Zito
I was surprised to notice that nobody in Year 6 mentioned the strawberry plants that are also in the Year 6 planting bed. I have been watching them to see if I there are any flowers developing. If this happens, hopefully they will be pollinated by insects to (re)produce some lovely fruit for us. Yum. Apparently there are some interesting facts about the seeds of a strawberry. I wonder if anyone knows what it is?
I’m a bit concerned about our potatoes, I planted some at home too, and they haven’t begun to grow yet. Fingers crossed that something happens soon or we’ll have to plant something else.
