Get Mr Harrison Fit 2012 – Update

Lots of children have been asking me recently about how my fitness and diet plan is going.  I have to admit, not very well at the minute.  I have not been to the gym for a while, and whilst I am not gaining any weight, I am also not getting any fitter.

But I have good news.  I have decided this year not to give up, to really persevere and try all over again.  So I will be starting back at the gym tonight and seeing if I can do four gym sessions a week for this half-term.  It will be tough, as I have a very busy job as Headteacher, and also play golf quite a lot.  But I am determined to try.

I think your doing very well because you already have lots of jobs to do as a head teacher but still your trying very hard. I’m glad our head teacher isn’t a boring old slump at least he cares about his weight. Also some tips for keeping fit………DON’T GO TO MAKDONALDS,don’t eat junk food,go to the jym often, wich will make you loose weight,go for lots of walks maybe like jogging around the park. Make sure you do about 3 or 4 laps not 1 or 2 laps.

Very kind comments, thank you. I tried running at 6.00 a.m. this morning. It was painful, but a good start to the day.

I know that you can do it Mr Harrison. Going for a jog in the morning is a very good start to the day although it’s just not about the exercise it’s also about the food. A few sweets like polo may help but nothing else, nothing from Mc Donalds or KFC. It’s your five a day that counts. Lots of fruit and vegatables some meat and dairy and only a tiny bit of fat. Hope your get fit idea is succesfull.

As a fellow head teacher, I can understand your difficulties with finding the time to keep fit. However, now the weather is getting better, I am trying to get out on my bikes more (I have two bikes, one for going on roads when the weather is good, and a mountain bike for when I feel a bit more adventurous). Keep trying hard Mr Harrison.
