Year 4 Halton Gill Residential 14-15 May 2012 on PhotoPeach
Fifteen Year 4 children have just returned from a fantastic residential trip at Halton Gill, out on the Yorkshire Dales. We spent two days with children from Fountains Primary School near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Mr Watson and Mrs Lawler Davis helped the children participate in ice breaker games, drama sessions, an early morning moorland hike and making grafitti T-shirts.
The highlight of the trip was when we were joined by TV celebrity chef Madha Jaffrey, who filmed an episode of her new cookery show “Curry Nation” with us. It was really exciting to be working with the crew, and Maddha talked with lots of the children while watching them making their own curries. Look out for our TV debut on UK Food and BBC 2 at the end of the year.
Everybody that went had a fantatsic time, lots of new friendships have been made, and after many children spent the night on their own away from home for the first time, some of us are now feeling a little bit more independent. Roll on Buckden in Year 5!
We hope you enjoy looking at our photographs.
