Yippee! Today was sports day. How exiting I thought. The worst thing about sports day is our school only lets us have one activity. This years was a race. This was easy because I am the fastest girl in my class so I will win for shore. My race was about to begin when all of a sudden it turned pitch black. How weird it was only 2:00pm. The race was cancelled. I was devastated. In a flash it became light again. Then guess what happened? It was dark then light then dark and then…………. LIGHT! What kind of sports day was this.

I like how you started your blog post with ‘Yipee!’ as it sounds really positive.
Perhaps you could ask your school council to talk about in their next meeting about the possibility of people being able to take part in more than one race?
Ooopps, you’ve used ‘shore’ as in the sea shore when you need ‘sure’, they do sound pretty similar.
I think it might have had something to do with a solar eclipse, am I right?
