Week 7 Gems
Lauren is just about the end of her nut and has started screaming “Mayday, Mayday!”. Under different circumstances that would be seriously funny but we really did have a weird tortoise banging our door!!!!I looked out of the window into the bright and happy day and slowly the sky got darker. I tumbled down the stairs and told the tortoise to back up! He did what I said and retreated gazing, with his short, stubby neck craned back revealing a mechanism in his neck, into the sky. Then I realized what was wrong! He wasn’t a real tortoise plus that big black thing was a meteorite heading straight for our house I leaped out of the way! Pain throbbed in my ear. It was a little nick on the edge!!!!

”Going somewhere?” The voice behind them was coming from the open door of the house. ”No. No! Noooooo!!” Bryan ran off, leaving poor Stephanie alone in the mist surrounding the house. ”I don’t know who or what you are, but I’m not budging without a fight!” With her hands up at her face, she hopped forwards and backards, imitating the boxers she had seen on T.V. ”Brave little girl,” said the mysterious stranger, his face half hidden by the mist. Stephanie started to tremble. ”Get away from my sister!” The stranger looked up, searching for the source of the sound.
