Past Miriam Lord Gems

Here you will find our Miriam Lord Gems from the last half term to enjoy.

The Gems were chosen for being interesting pieces of writing, where we could see the children had tried their best and stretched their learning muscles.

Week 18 Gems

Out of the blue! A whizzing rocket shot out into a vast distance into space knocking off shooting stars lunging to escape. By the time this happened the rocket had crushed thousand of glamorous, shining stars. Knowing the full extent of the the rocket, another rocket zoomed up crashing into the other rocket thus making it shoot down!I looked up nervously wondering what’s there? Though, I soon found out getting smacked into the head before passing out! I woke up with a box standing right in front of me but what is in it? Suddenly, a rocket burst out of the blue!

Out of the blue pot lived some  creature the tiny creatures were some tiny ant. Ayesha and her family did not notice because they were so busy tidying  the house up. The ant came from out side because Ayesha mum said “go and put some soil  in this pot!” in a sweet voice.When the house sparkled it was shiny, clean like the sun. Suddenly …Ayesha came down stairs and it stunk .”What a horrible smell she screamed? “Then her mum and dad come rushing down stairs. What is all the screaming about? then she said “aarrrrrrrr that is a herendens smell.” She came closer and closer then she saw some ants.

Week 19 Gem

Dear Diary,
Today was a extreamely awfull day for mum.She was shattered at the end of the day and I am going to write all about it!
In the morning we all woke up and mum was still sleeping. We all yelled really loud in her ear and then she woke up. She was so grumpy and wanted to go to sleep.In the morning we all wanted pancakes and mum had to make them otherwise we would all scream in her ear again. She made mine and my too brothers. Dad wanted to flip his up really high and he did. It got stuck on the cieling and then fell on mum’s head. We all started to laugh really loud. She was so embarrased!

Week 20 Gem

The day had started sunny and warm. I was over the moon because today it was gardening day my mum said “no time to waste we have got to be off to the shops”. We sat in our car and went to a shop very far we looked around but we couldn’t find any seeds. Then out of nowhere a packet of seeds popped in my lap “wow!” I thought magic. We rushed to the counter and payed the money and drove home. I planted my sunflower seeds but they didn’t grow I asked my mum what happened and she said “did you water them two times a day”?
“THEY DIDN’T MENTION THAT ON THE PACKET”.

Week 21 Gems

One dark day I went out to get some fresh air but my parents told me to go in because we were going shopping.While I was going I saw something I told my dad to stop the car suddenly the car stopped. I looked out side there was a green monster with massive googley eyes and a huge sword in it’s hand.Then the monster saw us and the monster started chasing us the monster dashed towards us and The car zoomed forward. Then we turned the car back towards our house and we went to our house the monster was lost when we were safely at our home.

Light. Bright light. A figure in the distance. Not moving, not standing. Floating.A sillhouete. A man? A women? No, an angel. .I open my eyes. It was just a dream. As well as 7:30 in the morning. I think about it all through breakfast. I think about it on the way to school.I can’t concentrate in lessons. It’s all I can think about.The figure. We’re going to grandma’s house later on. She’s an expert on strange things. On the way to gran’s house, all I can think about is the figure. It’s dark and the lamp post’s are on.The car stopped suddenly, the figure is right in front of us, a sillhouete, a shadow.
