Last Friday the children saw an in-school theatre production of Aesop’s ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’.
Aesop was an ancient Greek story teller who lived 2500 years ago. Many of his stories featured animals and they all had a message. Click on the dog below to hear the fable:The Dog and his Shadow.
What did you think the message in this story was?
Tell us about your favourite fable and the reason you like it so much.
Class 8 think the message of the fable is not to be greedy and not to believe everything you see. Be happy with what you have.
Class 6 also think that the message is not to be so greedy.
We watched the tortoise and the hare play on Friday and we really enjoyed it. We thought that the message from this fable was to not rush and take your time, don’t be too confident and also if you keep on going you will get there in the end.
I THINK THAT THE CLIP IS NOT TO BE GREEDY AND NOT ALWAYS TO BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU SEE
I think the same as class 6
Asop is BRILLIANT!!!!!
Not to be greedy and I am pretty upset coz I was poorly when you watch the hare and the tortoise production and I missed it.My favourite fable is Hansel and Gretal coz the witches house is made of candy and I love candy! and I love and fabel about candy such as the ginger bred man!
We think that the tortoise won the race because he didn’t listen to the people and he took his time and he ended up with all the circle things that the hare had left behind and we think the same as class six. We are in class six!!!
Never be fooled by a shadow.
