Last Thursday, Year 1 were visited by a strange story teller. He gave every child a magic key and allowed them to visit previously unseen lands. He told of the fairy’s message:
“Find the egg, look after the egg, protect the egg, love the egg and a magical, mystical happening will occur. BUT….. beware, a thousand curses will befall you if you damage or neglect the egg.”
The children searched and searched and finally found a huge egg in a nest.

They are looking after the egg but have no idea what it may hatch into. Year 1 would love to hear from anyone who can suggest what the egg may contain.
The children must have been so excited to find the egg! I hope they are looking after it very carefully. I think it might hatch into a beautiful white unicorn-I hope it does!
Hello everyone – this is Class 4. We have lots of different ideas of what could be in the egg. It could be a baby fairy, a unicorn like Mrs Sutcliffe thought, a dragon, a chick, a baby giant, a dinosaur, a turtle, a lion? Who knows what it could be? We are looking after the egg though, and keeping it warm. We will let you know as soon as anything happens. Watch this site!
I love that comment i or ready know because my brother kieran told me i wonder what is in the egg.
How exciting! Class 6 think that it might hatch into a dragon because we think that a magical egg has been found in school before and that hatched into a dragon. Please will you definitely post us some pictures when it finally hatches and make sure that you look after it carefully.
What hatched out of the egg?
