AUDIENCE Any staff who feels confident with the basic use of the Smart Notebook software and who want to develop creative, interactive and exciting teaching and learning resources as well as receive and Education Bradford certificate for advanced use of the Smart IWB. SESSION 1 Demonstrate an understanding of the basic tools available on the toolbars and menus in the Smart Notebook software including the customisation of the Notebook software, floating tools and pens. SESSION 2 Demonstrate an understanding of how to collect, import, organise and manage images effectively using appropriate strategies and tools to support teaching and learning. SESSION 3 Demonstrate an understanding of how to collect, import, organise and manage video files and flash activities effectively using appropriate strategies and tools to support teaching and learning. SESSION 4 Demonstrate an understanding of how the advanced features of the Smart Notebook including Smart recorder, split view, hyperlinking and embedding sounds can enhance teaching and learning. SESSION 5 Demonstrate an ability to produce quality Smart Notebook resources to support the effective teaching and learning for a Literacy lesson, Mathematics lesson and a Science lesson.
Each session will involve a gap task to be undertaken in school that will need submitting before the next session. This will involve the development of an appropriate Notebook file that demonstrates the content delivered during that session that you have used in the classroom.
CERTIFICATION Education Bradford accredited Advanced Smart IWB user certificate.
