We have been informed about an issue where Ask Jeeves will display unfiltered content if you just click the “I am over 18”  disclaimer.

The thumbnail images displayed can be explicit. This is an issue with Ask Jeeves not with any web filtering software such as Netsweeper.

For any BLN schools who use netsweeper we have found a way to stop this issue by blocking  &adt=1 globally in keywords.  This will still allow you to use Ask Jeeves as a search engine should you wish but will not show any results should you select the 'I am over 18' disclaimer.

If you are not using Netsweeper please be aware of this issue.
