Safer Internet week begins on February 7th 2011 with the 8th of February designated as Safer Internet Day. Safer Internet Day is organised by Insafe each year in February to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world. The theme for Safer Internet Day 2011 is 'Virtual lives' under the slogan, 'It's more than a game, it's your life.' With young people spending more and more time in online games or on social networks, it has never been more important that they are aware of the possible challenges to their privacy, reputation and health.
