UK Snow Depth- great example of crowdsourcing Print

uksnow1A great example of how to use the bad weather to a teaching advantage is UK Snow Depth.

People have been asked to provide locations and depth of snow all around the UK by using  Twitter . They add the information onto a shared Google Map and then the results are displayed for all to see. This is known as crowdsourcing and is an excellent example of collaborative working
