Becta launch new safeguarding area

The first phase of Becta's new safeguarding area went live recently to coincide with Safer Internet Day and our successful 3rd biennial safeguarding conference: Empowering children and young people in a digital world. Taking a topic-based approach, the new portal aims to consolidate Becta's e-safety materials for all audiences, while also providing multimedia exemplar materials to demonstrate e-safety in practice. The safe use of new technologies - Ofsted report

This report is based on evidence from a small-scale survey carried out between April and July 2009 in 35 maintained schools in England (includes 4 Bradford schools). It evaluates the extent to which the schools taught pupils to adopt safe and responsible practices in using new technologies, and how they achieved this.  Click here to access the full report
