jolly_roger2Second week of project and really good engagement from schools. We have about 20 classes conferencing using Elluminate and had 75 CVs for cabin persons job! The project is really exciting for us as well and its great to see the work of the staff and pupils.

An interactive maths activity using Google Maps has now gone live. Bradford Maths maps was created by Tim Bleazard of Curriculum ICT with support from Mark Hattersley, Education Bradford Maths consultant. The site has also had questions contributed by Maths subject coordinators from schools across Bradford. The idea came from Tom Barrett, Deputy Headteacher in Nottingham who runs the http://edte.ch/blog/ web site. You can access the Bradford Maths Maps plus Edinburgh Maths Maps, shapes in Paris, measures in Madrid, data handling in Nottingham and addition in Adelaide by visiting http://edte.ch/blog/maths-maps/

I spent a nice day on Thursday going through the BLN Resources with 8 schools. Good day and lots of great ideas on how to support literacy and mathematics with these resources

Went out with Tina Housley to see Michael Keighley at Horton Grange Primary to see if we could get Elluminate ready for the Pirate Shared Adventure. Bit of a struggle but Michael and Alyas Haider our techie genius have managed to solve the problems so now we can talk to our schools via video conferencing technology
