Conference details:
On 30 April 2009 the final ‘Rose Review’ report was published. The ‘Rose Review’ is an independent review of the primary curriculum in England. The Review included a proposed programme of learning that would make up a new curriculum and the Essentials for Learning and Life that would be developed throughout the curriculum. One of the key features of the proposed primary curriculum was the escalation of importance of ICT. The Review stated that a key area was to “strengthen the teaching and learning of ICT to enable children to be independent and confidents users of technology by the end of primary education.” This conference will outline what role ICT should be playing in primary schools and will showcase examples of good cross curricular practice across the LA.
